The gold extraction sector of the Magadan region shows a negative dynamics. Mines and placer gold deposits have slowed down the rates of extraction.
The Government of the Magadan region has summed up the results of gold extraction over 5 months. In general the sector shows a negative dynamics. Mines and placer gold deposits have slowed down the rates of extraction.
The regional Government is worried with the start of gold extraction this year – 4.17 tons over 5 months. The ore enterprises produced over 3.2 tons, the rest volume was extracted at the placer gold deposits. The main fall was due to the mine that reduced the production by 556 kg against 2014. Placer gold deposits reduced extraction insignificantly – by 30 kg.
