Ukraine:Export of scrap metal rose by 77%

The Ukrainian scrap metal enterprises in Jan-April 2015 increased scrap metal export by 77% against Jan-April 2014 to 407.5 thousand tons.
The revenue of the country from the export of scrap metal in Jan-April 2015 rose by 39% to $101 mln, that is 0.8% of the entire export of the Ukraine in Jan-April 2015.
The major volume was exported to Turkey – over 90.3% of revenue, 8.9% to Moldova.
The import of scrap metal to the Ukraine in Jan-April 2015 fell by 22.7 times to 1.1 thousand tons. In monetary terms the import fell by 7 times to $1.4 mln.
