The Ukraine reduced coal extraction by 2.2 times in 2015
Coal extraction mines of the Ukraine in Jan-April 2015 reduced coal extraction by 15.149 mln tons against Jan-April 2014 to 12.71 mln tons.
The extraction of coking coal in Jan-April 2015 fell by 65% or 4.944 mln tons to 2.667 mln tons, thermal coal – by 50.4% or 10.2 mln tons to 10.05 mln tons.
The coal extraction enterprises controlled by the Ministry of Energy of the Ukraine in Jan-April 2015 reduced extraction by 72.7% or by 6.2 mln tons to 2.33 mln tons, including the extraction of coking coal fell by 69.3% or by 1.66 mln tons to 736.9 thousand tons, thermal coal by 74% or by 4.543 mln tons to 1.59 mln tons.
The mines of the Donetsk region in Jan-April 2015 extracted 4.413 mln tons of coal (-63.8% against Jan-April 2014), Lugansk – 1 mln 305.3 thousand tons (-85.2%), Dnepropetrovsk – 6 mln 235.1 thousand tons (+2.3%), Lvov – 663.3 thousand tons (+11.7%), Volynsk – 102.3 thousand tons (-4.1%).
