Alrosa reports on results-2015 in Yakutia
Alrosa completed 2015 with good results: payment to the budget of Yakutia and budgets of its municipal enterprises made up 33.6 bln roubles, was said at the meeting of the economic department in Mirny.
The chairman of the Government of Yakutia,G. Danchkova, said that not many companies have a tradition of making open reports to their teams.
The company’s President, A. Zharkov, reported on the results in 2015. Only the sales revenue didn’t reach the plan, the total sales of diamonds of Alrosa made up $3.6 bln, by almost 30% less than in 2014. The reason is the unfavorable environment in the world markets on the results of which the company had to stick to the policy of price restriction and cut the sales.
Alrosa executed its obligations before all budgets, reduced the volume of its credit portfolio, kept increasing the production volumes at new underground mining objects – realized the long-term strategy. Some anti-crisis variants in 2016 are being considered.
