Severstal has completed upgrading of the converter

The Cherepovets metal works of Severstal Russian Steel has completed capital repairs of converter #1 with replacement of the body and the base ring of the aggregate.
The measure was the final stage of the project on the construction of the utility for the trapping of non-organized emissions from the enterprise’s converters; the same work was performed at converters #2# and 3.
They await that realization of the project will result in reduction of dust emissions into the atmosphere by 8 times. The total cost of the investment project is 3.4 billion rubles.
