In January – September, Norilsk Nickel reduced nickel production by 5.65% to 199,849 tons compared to 211,807 tons a year ago. Reduction in nickel yield is presupposed by execution of the planned capital repairs at Nadezhda metal works, reduction in low-profitable tolling operations at Kola GMK and much low raw materials supplies to Norilsk Nickel Harjavalta in H1.
