In 2013, Russia was the fifth in the world in steel production

In 2013, Russian metallurgical enterprises produced about 69 million tons of steel, which allowed the country to take the 5th place in the world, the head of the Industry and Trade Minister, Denis Manturov stated at the World Steel Association meeting.

Over the past 13 years, about $ 53 billion were invested into the creation of new and the reconstruction of existing facilities in the Russian Federation. This enabled the start of the production of competitive products, the quality of which fully complies with international standards. In 2014-2015, the investment will exceed $1.5 billion, about 10 thousand jobs will be created.
