MMK n.a. Ilyich to direct $9.27 mln for equipment modernization
The Mariupol metallurgical plant n.a. Ilyich (in the structure of Metinvest) in September 2016 will hold a capital repair of the converter #2 that includes the perfection of the gas cleaning system.
The value of work will make up over $9.27 mln. The project is a part of the program of environmental protection of Mariupol for 2012-2020.
The internal contractor is Metinvest –Promservice. It will replace the body of the converter, renew the majority of parts of the unit and reconstruct the gas cleaning system. Specialists will install new waste-hear boiler and industrial fan produced in Germany. The plant is actively preparing for capital repair.
In 2014 MMK n.a. Ilyich completed the first stage of reconstruction of filters of the converter shop having executed the modernization of the gas cleaning part of converter #1. Moreover, in 2015 the plant refused from the old Martin equipment. The largest nature preserving project on the reconstruction of the agglomeration unit with the value of $220 mln is held at the plant.
