Board of Norilsk Nickel has approved the sale of 11% of shares in Inter RAO

​The Board of Directors of GMK Norilsk Nickel has decided to sell 11 bln 450 mln 360 thousand 696.35 general nominal uncertified shares in Inter RAO OJSC, the company reports.

In May 2014 the CEO of GMK Norilsk Nickel, V. Potanin, told journalists that the company was looking for a strategic buyer of its package in Inter RAO. There were no so many buyers of the package and GMK Norilsk Nickel planned to find a strategic buyer but not sell the package in parts.

Currently GMK Norilsk Nickel holds 11% in Inter RAO, the stake of minority shareholders  is 16.65%, Rosneftegas holds 27.63%, FSK UES – 18.57%, RusHydro – 4.92%, VEB -5.11% and 13.93% is reacquired stock.
