A 6 sq km site in Yakutia to be sold at the auction for at least 5.725 mln roubles

​The Government of Russia has announced an auction for the right to use a subsoil site with alluvial diamonds with the area of 6.04 sq km.

The Government of Russia has announced an auction for the right to use a federal subsoil site in Yakutia for exploration and extraction of alluvial diamonds.

A subsoil site comprising the Lyaseger-Yuryakh stream, left affluent of the Mayat river with the area of 6.04 sq km.

The Government said that as of Jan 1, 2015 the C2 diamond reserves of this site make up 61 thousand karats.

The forecast resources of the site, tested and having been given the expert’s assessment, make up 561 thousand karats of diamonds by P1 category.

The Federal Agency for Subsoil Use is appointed the organizer of the auction. The one-time payment for the site is determined at 5.725 mln roubles.
