15 new mining enterprises to appear in the Trans-Baikal region

Projects of new mining enterprises construction are planned to be implemented in the Trans-Baikal region, Minister of Natural Resources and Industrial Policy of the region Oleg Polyakov reported.
“The region is the 8th in gold production in Russia and the 3rd in the Siberian Federal District; it produced over 9 tons of precious metal. As for coal mining, we lost ground a little, but we are still the 4th in the country, 21.7 million tons were mined. We laid the groundwork for the industrial production development – a processing plant of the Alexandrovsky mine was launched in the Mogochinsky district; it has mined 180 kg of gold already.
