Magadan region may increase gold production by 6% in 2013

The subsurface users of the Magadan region may exceed the last year’s production level and produce about 22 tons of gold, an interim governor of the region V.Pecheny said to PRIME Agency.
In 2012 gold production in the Magadan region went up by 14.28% to 20.737 tons, silver production – by 7.3% to 834.696 tons against 2011. Gold ore mining in a total volume increased by 11.9% to 7.59 tons, placer gold production – by 15.7% to 13.15 tons.
