Metalloinvest borrowed EUR 267 mln from European and Asian banks

Mining-and-smelting company “Metalloinvest” attracted a syndicated loan of EUR 267 million, runs the company’s statement. The banking syndicate includes Société Générale, Sumitomo Mitsui, The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi, Crédit Agricole Corporate, as well as UniCredit and ING Bank.
“Metalloinvest” received funding for the purchase of foreign equipment in the framework of the investment project at the Lebedinsky GOK. “The credit has been lodged against the guarantees of Export credit agencies of Austria and the UK Export credit agency,” a spokesman for the company said.
