Russian steel industry has all possibilities for prosperity. A.Mordashov

The CEO of Severstal ,A.Mordashov described the role of the Russian metallurgy on a world-wide scale, speaking at the 12th metallurgical summit, which took place on June 3rd in Moscow. According to him, the world steel industry is currently in the complex situation of excess capacity. While the steel sector in Russia has remarkable competitive advantages and possibilities for future prosperity.

“The Russian steel industry has significant advantages. It has showed progress both via investments and best manufacturing practice over the last 20 years. To date, the leading Russian enterprises have efficient staff, modern equipment and a qualitative product portfolio. We demonstrate one of the lowest prime costs, while producing steel,” A.Mordashov said.
