Un-profitable Chinese producers of aluminium will reduce around 3.5 million tons of annual production capacity this year, while the reduction will result in a record-high increase of premiums for metal, one of the managers of Russian RusAl said.
“Taking into consideration the deficit and the further reduction of production, we think, the premium will make up $500 per a ton. They may increase up to $600 in Q3,” the head of RusAl for strategy and business development O.Mukhamedshin said.
