UC Rusal to build a new production complex in Krasnoyarsk

UC “Rusal starts the design of a new foundry complex at the Krasnoyarsk aluminium plant. The project is being realized within the framework of the strategy on the increase of the share of alloy in the total volume of production, the press-service of the company states.

‘The complex is meant for the manufacture of extrusion billet, including large diameter ones (up to 460 mm). Its production capacity will make up 0.12 million tons a year. To date, “UC Rusal” manufactures extrusion billet of up to 200 mm in diameter. Car industry, building sector and packing industry are the consumers of a new product line of KrAZ,” is said in the press-release.
