Baimsky project in Chukotka autonomous district claims for state subsidies

The project of the Baimskaya ore zone development (mining company Baimskaya, a part of Roman Abramovich's Millhouse), including the development of energy infrastructure, has claimed for state aid, the Governor of Chukotka Roman Kopin says.

"The project of the development of the Baimskaya ore zone’s deposits has been presented for selection as a priority project, implemented in the Far East, - said the head of Chukotka, speaking at the final board of the Ministry of Development of the Far East. - It includes an infrastructure project for the construction of the Bilibino - Omsukchan high-voltage transmission line, which essentially provides for the union of two systems: energy deficient system in a certain horizon of Chukotka and energy surplus system in the Magadan".
