In Q4, 2013 Norilsk Nickel produced almost 74 thousand tons of nickel. It is by 1.5% more than in Q3, 2013, is said in the press-release of the company.
In 2013 nickel production went down by 5% to 285 thousand tons against 2012. It is due to a reduction of nickel matte supplies to Kola GMK by Zapolyarnoye branch, decrease of raw material supply to Harjavalta (Finland) from Boliden and Talvivaara, decline of nickel content in the ore of Tati (Africa) and temporary closing of Lake Johnston (Australia).
