UC Rusal looking for cheap energy

UC Rusal keeps trying to obtain preferences for its aluminium plants at the energy market. Now the company claims for preferences for its profitable Siberian plants. The company has asked the government to let it found an isolated generating plant for Bratsk aluminum plant on the basis of 2GW of the Bratsk hydro power plant. This will help UC Rusal to reduce the price of electricity, though it will cost 3 billion RUR to Siberian consumers”.
