Rusal wants a decrease in the energy tariffs for the Bratsk aluminium plant

UC Rusal want to decrease energy price for the Bratsk aluminium plant (BrAZ) with capacity of 1 million tons of aliminium per year. Earlier UC Rusal offered to take about 2 GW of 4.5 GW of the Bratsk hydro electric power plant’s capacity from the wholesale market, it announced that in actual fact these blocks are an isolated generating plant (a power plant, which works for a certain industrial consumer) of BrAZ, a source in government agencies told the Kommersant. A source, who is close to energy assets of Oleg Deripaska, also confirmed this.
