In 2013, Russia has increased coal production by 1.3%

In 2013, Russia increased coal production by 1.3% to 199.8 million tons, and exports by 11.6% to 81.09 million tons, , the Central Dispatch Department of the Fuel and Energy Sector reports. In Q2, production and exports started an increase after the fall in Q1.

In January – July, Russia increased open-cast coal production by 2.55 million tons to 140.15 million tons, and underground production by 33.7% to 59.66 million tons. Coking coal exports increased by 5.4 million tons to 12.6 million tons.
