Kazakh titanium to be used more inside the country

A tripartite agreement on the expansion of titanium products use in the oil-and-gas and petrochemical industries of Kazakhstan has been signed by Ust-Kamenogorsk Titanium and Magnesium Works (UKTMK), Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Oil and Gas, UKTMK’s technical director, Beybut Jenis told.

According to the technical director, the signing took place at the end of the panel session within the Astana Economic Forum, dedicated to the memory of UKTMK’s president Bagdat Shayakhmetova, during which the plant’s administration presented Program of UKTMK development until 2022.

The total cost of projects, included in the Program of the titanium industry development in Kazakhstan, is 20 billion tenges.
