Alrosa and Diamond Dealers Club of New York have signed a memorandum of understanding

Alrosa and the Diamond Dealers Club of New York (DDC) have signed a memorandum of understanding aimed atr the development of the diamond market of Russia and the USA. Alrosa reports that at the official ceremony in the framework of the jewellery show JCK Las Vegas on May 30th 2014 the document was signed by the President of DDC, R. Kaufman and CEO of the branch “Diamonds of Alrosa”, A. Malinin.

The parties agreed to exchange the information that has something to do with the development of the cooperation between the diamond sectors of Russia and the USA, inform each other of the latest achievements in the sphere of diamond certification, new technologies of gem-cutting and diamond raw materials processing, methods of identification of synthetic and refined diamonds. The document presupposes the order of the separate selling of natural and synthetic diamonds and products out of them. In the framework of the memorandum the parties also plan to cooperate on the issues of the World Diamond Council.
