Severstal increases dispatch of products to Russian pipe enterprises

In the first nine months of the current year, the Cherepovets metallurgic plant, one of the largest integrated steel-smelting plants in the world (a part of Severstal Russian Steel) supplied over 1.3 million tons of rolled metal to Russian enterprises of the pipe industry.

The supplies grew by 9% or by 116 thousand tons as compared with the same period of the previous year. The growth took place mainly due to increase of the supplies to producers of medium and small diameter pipes; pipes of this segment (structural and gas and water conveyance pipes) are mainly used in the construction industry.
