The Verkhovna Rada of the Ukraine has decided to increase the leasing plan for the production of oil, natural gas, gas condensate and ores, as well as excise taxes on the petroleum products. Due to these measures, the Government expects to receive an additional $ 4.8 billion hryvnia in the state budget of the Ukraine in 2014.
Sergei Sobolev, the leader of the "Batkivshchina" parliamentary faction in the parliament, stated that the deputies supported the government's initiative to increase the leasing payments and excise duties in the course of the voting on the amendments to the Law on the State Budget of the Ukraine and the Tax Code. He added that due to these contributions the increased costs in the budget would be covered.
