UC Rusal to launch a modernized casting shop at a plant in Polar region in Q3

UC Rusal plans to launch a modernized casting shop at the Kandalakshsky aluminium plant (KAZ SUAL, Murmansk region) in Q3 2014, the head of the group of the modernization project, A. Romanov said.
The modernization project was started in March 2011, the total investment volume made up about $20 mln.
In the framework of the project the technological equipment for preparation and alloys casting of Jasper GmbH (Germany) was installed. Currently the start-up and commissioning works on the launch of the modernized production capacity are carried out at the plant.
