“Severstal” reconstructs cold-rolling mill at CherMK for the output of special-quality broad sheets

The Cherepovetsk metallurgical plant, one of the world’s largest integrated works on steel production (part of “Severstal Russian Steel”) will carry out the reconstruction of four-cages of the cold-rolling mill in order to improve the quality of the goods, reduce expenditures and increase the production level. “During the realization of the project the 4-cages of the cold-rolling mill will be updated fundamentally. The project will contribute to an increase of a productivity of the mill by 200 thousand tons a year and reach 3 million tons of cold-rolled steel production a year at CherMK,” CEO of “Severstal Russian Steel”, S.Toropov says.
