State guarantees for metallurgy
In autumn of 2013, owners of Russian metallurgical companies told the Prime Minister, Dmitry Medvedev about the difficult situation in ferrous and non-ferrous metallurgy and asked for help. The Prime Minister instructed the Ministries of Industry, Finance, Regional Development and Labour to develop a program. But Ministry of Industry and Trade heard only the wishes of nonferrous metals producers: it developed a "Strategy for the Development of non-ferrous metallurgy in Russia in 2014-2030".
The strategy was submitted to the Government, but the Prime Minister hasn’t acquainted himself with it as yet, his press secretary Natalya Timakova said. According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the document was coordinated with the Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Economic Development. Some items of it were agreed, an official of the Ministry of Economic Development specified; a representative of the Ministry of Finance didn’t answered for the inquiry.
