Magnitogorsk metallurgic plant MMK, Russia Oil and Gas
MMK, TMK and ChTPZ have signed with Gazprom a 3-party program of scientific-technical cooperation for the output of steel plates and new generation pipes.
The previous record was set 5 years ago in 2010, when the mill produced 943.4 thousand tons of steel.
Unique plate mill 5000 was commissioned in 2009. The President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin participated in the ceremony of launching the unit.
Over 200 thousand tons of pipes have been delivered to Yakutia for the construction of Power of Siberia. This is a half of the necessary volume.
Currently 216 thousand tons of pipes have been shipped, this is 49% of the total volume (plan – 439 thousand tons). This winter over 185 thousand pipes will be welded in the Olekminsky district.
The total volume of cargo which will be delivered in the navigation period for the construction of Power of Siberia is 800 thousand tons. The navigation will be over in late September-October.
The cargo shipment is held according to the schedule. The first shipment started in May.
In the first six months of 2015, the delivery of steel products from hot rolling mill 5000 of MMK increased by 34% as compared with the same period of the previous year. The increase amounted to 142 thousand tons.
Last year another partner joined the agreement on the scientific and technical cooperation between "KazTransOil" and ChTPZ – MMK.
The Russian steel group "ChTPZ" has delivered high-strength pipes for the repair of the TON-2 pipeline in Kazakhstan.
The global reconstruction will involve more than 14 thousand large-diameter pipes. "KazTransOil", which is a customer of the batch, reported that work is already scheduled to be completed this year. The updated pipeline could transfer up to 10 million of oil per year, whereas before the repair it could overpower no more than 7 million tons of "black gold".
Russian metallurgists reduce steel production: in June they reduced the volume by 4.3% to 5.5 million tons. The market participants explain that at the beginning of the year an abnormal demand was due to concerns of further devaluation of the ruble, caused, including, overstocking. According to pessimistic forecasts, in 2015, the demand for steel in Russia and the CIS countries will decrease by 15%. The production of pipes is growing, but Gazprom has already canceled a number of large tenders.
The production of steel in Russia again began to decline, the data of the Russian Statisctics Committee shows: in June, steelmakers reduced the output by 7.5% to 5.5 million tons. Back in May, the fall made up only 1.6%, and in April there was an increase by 0.6%. By results of the first six months, it was managed to keep the fall at symbolic 0.2% to 34.9 million tons, and rolled products - at 0.6%, to 30 million tons.
Today the 22nd International Exhibition "Caspian Oil and Gas-2015", which takes part in the Magnitogorsk Metallurgical Plant, started its work in Baku.
The widest range of products and plant businesses, the Group OJSC "MMK", is traditionally on the stand of the largest enterprise of metallurgical industry of Russia. The main focus is on products for the oil and gas sector, actively developing in the region: proven oil reserves in the Caspian shelf are estimated at over 10 billion tons.
The agreement with Metalloinvest was extended for the additional 19 months, until the end of 2016, with MMK – for the additional 12 months, until the end of 2019, with Rosneft – reconsidered and extended until the end of 2016.
Globaltrans Group in 2014 extended the negotiations with Metalloinvest, MMK and Rosneft, the company reports on the results of publishing its IAS report.
“The key service contracts were successfully extended in 2014, on the results of the year over 605 of the group’s net revenue from operations was provided by the long-term service contracts”, is reported.
Globaltrans transports metals, oil and oil products, coal and construction materials. The company’s shares are listed on the LSE. 54.5% of shares are in free circulation, N. Mishim, K. Nikolayev and A. Filatov hold 11.5% each via their special companies, the CEO of the operator S. Maltsev, 5.4%, non-executive director, A. Eliseev – 6.3%. The total park of the group is 65 thousand wagons and 75 locomotives.
The RF Ministry of Economic Development includes "Makfa", "Mechel" and ChTPZ into the list of the backbone organizations in Russia.Edited by Rhod Mackenzie / 2015-02-09 12:50:09
The RF Ministry of Economic Development included "Makfa", "Mechel" and ChTPZ into the list of the backbone organizations in Russia. The list was approved by the anti-crisis commission. There are almost 200 companies together with the Chelyabinsk ones. They all are eligible for state guarantees in the amount of not more than 5 billion roubles as a priority. They will be set for investment projects and restructuring of the current debts.
The largest Russian Energy Project - the Power of Siberia pipeline - has demanded a special cohesion from metallurgists and pipe manufacturers. The most important thing for MMK and ChTPZ is to provide high quality of sheet metal and large diameter pipes. Workflow participants "compared notes" at the site of the Chelyabinsk pipe rolling plant (ChTPZ).
MK supplies its products for almost all major pipeline projects in Russia and the CIS states. Technological capabilities of MMK to produce products for the oil and gas industry improved significantly since the launch of a modern complex for the production of hot rolled plate, which included mill 5000 with maximum capacity of up to 1.5 million tons per year, CC machine-6 and secondary steel treatment in 2009-2010. This allowed MMK to take part in such projects as the Sakhalin - Khabarovsk - Vladivostok, Bovanenkovo - Ukhta, Ukhta - Torzhok, Southern Corridor, Beineu - Bozoi - Shymkent, Central Asia - China pipelines, the Eastern Siberia - Pacific Ocean oil pipeline and the second stage of the Baltic Pipeline System pipeline.
The cooperation of metallurgists and pipe producers grow together with the scale of new projects - this year they were joined by Power of Siberia.
