Russian oil producers to bid for Norweigan deposits.

Market conditions and sanctions do not interfere there.
"Rosneft" and Lukoil intend to compete for new oil and gas licenses on the Norwegian shelf. Now because of the sectoral sanctions work of oil producers in the Russian Arctic is actually stopped, but it is not prohibited to conduct exploration and production abroad. Thus, Lukoil, deprived according to the Russian law of the right to work on the Arctic shelf in its country, can expect to receive relevant experience in Norway in anticipation of a possible liberalization of access to the shelf in the Russian Federation.

The replacement for the "South Stream".pipeline

Left without Russian gas the Ukraine is trying to thwart the plans of "Gazprom" for the construction of the "South Stream" pipeline, which will be bypassing its territory. In this regard Kiev offers to transfer 49% of its gas transportation system to the management of European and American companies. It is unlikely to reduce Europe's interest in the project of "Gazprom", it is much to concerned about the energy security, the experts state.
Managing to attract the companies from the European Union and the United States to manage its gas transportation system (GTS), the Ukraine will deprive Europe of interest in the construction of the "South Stream" pipeline, Arseniy Yatsenyuk stated, speaking in the Verkhovna Rada. "This gives us the opportunity to stop the construction of the "South Stream" and send all the volumes that are planned for the "South Stream" through the Ukrainian gas transportation system, as the countries - members of the European Union will be primarily interested in this", - he stated, introducing the bill on reforming the management of the unified gas transportation system of the Ukraine.
The document proposes to leave GTS and the underground gas storage facilities owned by the state, but a separate operating company will manage the system, 49% of the share is proposed to submit to the gas-transporters – the members of the EU and the United States. Previously "the Kommersant" wrote that the negotiations with Shell, ExxonMobil and Chevron are in progress.
