According to customs statistics, in January-June 2015, foreign trade turnover of Russia made up $270.7 billion and it decreased by 32.6% in comparison with January-June 2014. The trade balance showed a surplus of $95.3 billion, which is by 16.7 billion less than in January-June 2014.
In January-June 2015, the export of Russia amounted to $183.0 billion, decreased by 28.8% as compared with January-June 2014. In January-June 2015, the basis of the Russian export to the non-CIS countries was fuel and energy products, the share of which in the commodity structure of the export to these countries amounted to 68.1% (in January-June 2014 - 75.3%).
In January-June 2015, the cost volume of energy products decreased by 34.5% as compared with January-June 2014, and the physical - increased by 10.3%. Among the energy goods the volume of exports of crude oil increased by 11.5%, electricity - by 25.0%, oil products - by 20.2%, including: kerosene - by 39.3%, diesel fuel - 18.0%, liquid fuels - by 23.5%. At the same time, the export volume of natural gas was reduced by 4.1%, coal - by 1.2%.
Until the end of 2015 Uzbek JSC "Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Plant" (AMMC) would lead mining and processing complex (GOK) in the field of polymetallic ores Khandiza in Kashkadarya region in the south of the country to the design capacity, the press service of the AMMC stated on Wednesday.
"Already in 2015 the ore management of "Khandiza" goes at full capacity - mining and processing of 650 tons of ore per year", - the press service of the plant informs. According to AMMC, the plant will reach the planned figures due to the intensification of tunnel works and modernization of mining equipment.
In H1 2015 Altai-Koks (part of the NLMK Group) increased the production of dry coke by up to 2 million tons, which is 6.4% higher than in 2014. The capacity utilization of the company remained high - about 98%.
In H1 2015 coke sales totaled about 2 million tons (+ 6% compared to the same period of 2014).
Evraz ZSMK made a shipment of rails for GUP "Tashkent underground". 960 tons of rails category P50 H 25 meters long were sent to the Uzbek underground.
"Evraz ZSMK has long and successful cooperation with Russian underground. Trains in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan, Novosibirsk travel on our rails. Now the geography of the deliveries for the underground expanded to Tashkent - the managing director of Evraz ZSMK Alex Yuriev states. – The development of cooperation with the Uzbek customers for Eurasia is extremely important since Uzbekistan is one of the largest consumers of our products in the CIS".
According to updated information of the World Steel Association Worldsteel, in August 2014 the total steel production in the CIS countries decreased by 6.5% as compared with the same period of the previous year to 72.018 million tons.
The Uzbek Navoiyi mining and metallurgical combine has started production operations at the new gold deposit Bessopantau. They are going to achieve the projected capacity in 2015. Total yield at the deposit is awaited at a level of up to 15 million cubic m of ore with a high gold content annually. The combine will considerably enlarge its main gold ore base because of the enlargement in open-cast mining at Muruntau.
