"Gazprom" confirms the Bulgarian version of the route of the gas pipeline Russia – Greece.

The input of the planned pipeline on the Black Sea shore in Bulgaria was really regarded as one of the options, but the European partners make the selection and approval of the route, the deputy chairman of "Gazprom" Aleksander Medvedev informs.
On Thursday, the presidential aide Yuri Ushakov stated that the new gas pipeline from Russia to Greece could pass through Bulgaria. The EU tries to play politics with Nord Stream 2

Last week we were able to observe the beginning of the second stage of the confrontation around the gas pipeline Nord Stream 2. The first stage, which started in the autumn of 2015, contained vivid statements of politicians from the Eastern Europe. They did not hesitate to call the pipeline a betrayal from the Western partners in the EU and repeated the thesis about the growing dependence on Russian gas. The head of the Council of Europe and the former Prime Minister of Poland Donald Tusk declared openly that he considered Nord Stream 2 project dangerous, which was undermining, threatening and so on. But those were just words, and now it came to certain actions.

Snam may redeem part of the shares of SOCAR in the Greek GTS DESFA and compensate through participation in the TAP gas pipeline.

The Italian Snam has officially confirmed its interest in buying a 17% stake in the operator of Greek gas transportation system DESFA.
The Fund for the State Property Management of Greece has already received a formal proposal from Snam to buy a 17% stake in DESFA and expects the same from a consortium of Greek and other companies from the EU.
Lets recall that SOCAR was actually forced to sell 17% stake in DESFA to one of the European companies, because Europeans decided that the monopoly of Azerbaijan in this issue was very similar to the attempts of Russia, and therefore needed to keep gas networks in Europe – just in case.

Gazprom’s stake on Asia can be not proved

Gas supplies to China may soon exceed the current exports to Europe (150-160 billion cubic meters per year), chairman of the Gazprom’s Board Alexei Miller predicted at the end of 2014. But China may not need so much Russian gas. CNPC decreases the forecast of the demand, the company’s deputy general director for strategic research Wang Zhen reported at the conference "Sakhalin Oil and Gas 2015".
The State Plan of China suggests that by 2020, the gas consumption in the country will exceed 360 billion cubic meters. However, CNPC expects that the demand will at best reach 334 billion cubic meters, and at worst – won’t exceed 269 billion cubic meters. The presentation states that by 2020, China will import 75-80 billion cubic meters of pipeline gas. Now it receives the whole pipeline gas from Turkmenistan and Myanmar. At the same time small volumes of gas will begin to be supplied from Russia through the Power of Siberia gas pipeline. On the whole, under the 30-year contract Gazprom will sell 38 billion cubic meters of gas per year to China.
