Japan takes interest in subsurface resources of Kyrgyzstan

The president of the National Academy of Sciences of Kyrgyzstan A.Erkebaev and managing director of Jogmec (Japan) T.Tsujimoto had a meeting.

EDB to help “Russian Platinum” to attract $200 mln for Jerui

Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) will help “Alliance Altyn” (part of “Russian platinum”) to attract $200 million for Jerui gold ore deposit development (Kyrgyzstan), is stated in the press-release.
The intentions of the party are confirmed in the cooperation agreement, under which EDB will also carry out an appraisal of the Jerui project and will assist “Alliance Altyn” in structuring of financing.

Gold production at Kumtor made up 16.2 tons in 2015

Kumtor Gold Company has summed up the results of its activity in 2015. There was produced 520 thousand 694 ounces or 16 tonnes 195.4 kilograms of gold at Kumtor in 2015. The Group's sales amounted to 520 thousand 517 ounces or 16 tonnes 189.9 kilograms of gold. The total revenue from sales made up $604.5 million in 2015.

Kyrgyzaltyn and Turkish Eti Bakir win 3 deposits in Kyrgyzstan

Eti Bakir Tereksai, created by Kyrgyzaltyn (25%) and Turkish Eti Bakir (75%), has won the tender for the development of gold-antimony deposit Terek, gold ore deposits Terekkan and Perevalnoye in Kyrgyzstan, the State Agency on Geology and Mineral Resources under the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic reports.
