Russian companies expect to increase coal exports to Asia.

The International Energy Agency (IEA) predicts an increase in world coal demand by nearly 200 million tons in the next five years - up to 5.64 billion tons in 2021.

Coal mining in the Kemerovo Region to grow by only 1%.

By the end of 2015 enterprises of the Kemerovo region may increase coal production by almost 1% - to 213 million tons, the administration of the Kemerovo region inform with reference to the statement of the Governor Aman Tuleyev.
He stated that in 2015 50 billion rubles would be invested into the development of the coal industry in the region, which is almost 10% more than in 2014. At the same time, according to experts, the miners will produce 213 million tons of coal, 2 million tons more than in 2014. Now Kuzbass is the third largest coal exporter after Australia and Indonesia.

The largest suppliers of coking coal reduce their prices by 5 - 10 percent.

Anglo American offers premium quality coking coal at a price of $116 per FOB ton, while BHP Billiton Mitsubishi Alliance - at $ 110 per FOB ton.
The world's largest suppliers of coking coal continue to cut prices. As ISS "Metal Supply and Sales" reports with reference to the Platts agency, for Q2 2015 the South African mining company Anglo American has offered Japanese consumers premium quality coking coal at a price of $116 per ton loaded on the ship (FOB) in Australia, while BHP Billiton Mitsubishi Alliance - at $ 110 per FOB ton with shipment in April.

The Russian coal industry relies on China in vain.

The possibility of increasing the supply of Russian coal for export is ambiguously estimated by the industry analysts now. On the one hand, short-term forecasts state about the rise of the dynamics prevailing in the previous period, on the other - a reduction in demand from major consumers such as China and India.
Discussion of the main problems in the supply of Russian coal abroad was the subject of a series of expert discussions held in Moscow. For the first time in recent years the volume of export shipments of Russian coal into the Asia-Pacific countries exceeded shipments to Europe.
