In 2016, China increased import of pipeline gas by 17.7%

In January-October 2016, the volume of imported Chinese pipe gas increased by 17.7% to 23.68 million tons. In terms of value it decreased by 22.3% to 6.44 billion.

Turkmenistan and China discuss prospects of energy cooperation deepening at Deputy Ministries level in Ashgabat

The 4th meeting of the Subcommittee on Trade and Economic Cooperation of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Chinese Cooperation Committee at the level of Deputy Ministers took place in Ashgabat July 4, 2016. This was reported by the Government of Turkmenistan on July 4, 2016.
The main topic of the meeting was the deepening of the cooperation in the energy industry, including, transportation and delivery of natural gas from Turkmenistan to China.
China recently cut its forecast for growth of the gas consumption and slightly slowed down the construction of the fourth line of the Turkmenistan - China main gas pipeline, so they had topics to talk about.

Turkmenistan and China to extend their oil and gas cooperation

Turkmenistan and China have noted the mutual interest in developing cooperation in the oil and gas sector. This was announced at the meeting with the Minister of External Relations of the Chinese Communist Party’s Central Committee Sun Tao in Ashgabat, the Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan reports.
Speaking about the diversification of the trade and economic cooperation, the parties discussed the issues of the use of the Chinese experience in the modernization of the industrial potential of Turkmenistan.

Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov sums up results of the first 4 months of 2016 and again discussed the situation with the TAPI gas pipeline at the Cabinet meeting

On May 6, 2016, Berdymukhamedov held the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers; the TAPI main gas pipeline again was among the discussed issues.
This was reported by the administration of the President on May 9, 2016.
In January-April 2016, according to the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan B.Khodzhamammedov, the GDP growth amounted to 106.3%, including in the industry - 102.4%, construction - 105.6%, transport - 110.1%, trade - 116.7%, agriculture - 106%, services - 109.8%. The growth rate of the output was 103.2%.
The average monthly salary of large and medium-sized enterprises increased by 9.6% as compared to the same period in 2015.
The revenue part of the budget is 100.1% executed, the cost one - 90%.
