In January-September 2016 5.79 billion manat had been invested into the oil and gas sector of Azerbaijan, the State Statistics Committee reported Trend.

The mill produces high-quality tubing stock for producers of large diameter pipes. Due to its unique characteristics MMK participates in the majority of large pipeline projects in the CIS.
Azerbaijan actively constructs pipelines for oil and gas pumping. Among them are Baku-Novorossiysk, Baku-Supsa, Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan, Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum, TANAP. The realization of the largest project on the foundation of new oil and gas processing and oil chemicals complex near Baku has stated.
Today the 22nd International Exhibition "Caspian Oil and Gas-2015", which takes part in the Magnitogorsk Metallurgical Plant, started its work in Baku.
The widest range of products and plant businesses, the Group OJSC "MMK", is traditionally on the stand of the largest enterprise of metallurgical industry of Russia. The main focus is on products for the oil and gas sector, actively developing in the region: proven oil reserves in the Caspian shelf are estimated at over 10 billion tons.
Within the project of TANAP construction, they closed the contracts with 6 Turkish and 1 Chinese companies, Caspian Barrel reports. SOCAR reports that the Turkish companies will supply 80% of the pipes.
The winners of the tender for the pipe supplies are the consortiums of Mannesmann-Noksel-Erciyas, Ümran-Emek, Tosçelik Profil ve Sac Endüstrisi and the Chinese Baosteel Europe.
TANAP needs 1.2 million tons of pipes that should be supplied within 24 months.

In late January, the TANAP Dogalgaz Iletim company, representing the consortium to build the Trans-Anatolian gas pipeline (Trans Anadolu Pipeline, TANAP), summed up the selection of manufacturers and suppliers of pipes for this project.
In summary, the competition will be attended by 20 companies, 6 of which represent Turkey (Borusan Mannesmann, Umran Celik, Noksel Celik, Emek Boru Makina, Toscelik Profil and Erciyas Celik consortium), 9 - Asia (Japanese Metal One Corporation, Marubeni Itochu Tubulars Europe and Sumitomo Corporation, the Korean Daewoo International, the Indian Welspun Trading, Man Industries India, Essar Steel India, Ratnamani Metals & Tubes, the Chinese Baosteel Europe), 3 - the European Union (Salzgitter Mannesmann International, STS Tubular Group and Corinth Pipeworks) and 2 - the CIS (the Russian Trade House TMK and the Ukrainian Metinvest International).
