Vladivostok Commercial Sea Port has completed the transshipment and shipment of three ship lots of sheet steel from South Korea.
Gazprom has started seriously thinking about the construction of power plants in China, which can be supplied with Russian gas through pipelines or as LNG. According to the Kommersant’s interlocutors, the Chinese have long offered the monopoly to participate in the development of local energy market. But experts are cautious: the projects of a thermal power plant on the regulated market of China can be cost-effective only under certain conditions and make Gazprom strongly dependent on the authorities.
Gazprom has announced a tender for a feasibility study the company participation in the projects of construction of gas thermal power plants in China and supply of gas to them. In particular, the construction of thermal power plants along gas pipelines from the Russian Federation, as well as in the vicinity of LNG receiving terminals is considered. It is also necessary to explore the possibility to attract Chinese financing. This is the first real proof of the Gazprom’s interest in the energy market of China, although the topic has been discussed at the negotiations with the Chinese at least since 2013. A source of the Kommersant in Gazprom confirmed that the possibility of building a generation in China was considered seriously.
Marketing companies of Mechel Mechel-Service has started to supply high-quality, sheet and profiled metal for the construction of a gas liquefaction plant Yamal LNG. The first 500 tons of the products were shipped to companies that produce steel structures for the plant construction.
A ceremony of laying the first ice-breaking vessel under Arc130A project, Ice Class Icebreaker 8, built by order of Gazpromneft was hosted in Vyborg Shipyard (VSZ). The ship was named "Aleksandr Sannikov".
Two icebreaking vessels intended for operation in the Gulf of Ob (Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District) for the oil terminal on Novoportovsk field will be built at VSZ. Ships are intended to ensure the shipment of oil, icebreaking tankers, rescue, towing vessels, firefighting, participation in oil spill response operations.
The Russians will have to learn how to grow vegetables, produce medicines, sew clothes and to live with their wits, as well as master and manufacture their own equipment in the country's basic industry - oil and gas.
According to the plans of the RF Ministry of Industry and Trade, in 2020 the share of Russian equipment in this sector should be increased from 40 to 57%. With regard to oil and gas engineering, its share is planned to be reduced from the current 60 to 43% by the same year - this is the RF Ministry of Energy data. "Public control" tried to understand whether the Russian companies are ready to supply their own equipment or not.
Severstal TPZ Sheksna will supply about 4 thousand tons of pipes for the project of Yamal LNG during the next two months.
Products of Severstal TPZ Sheksna will be used in the manufacture of the main supports of the main onshore pipeline. To fulfill the order, the company mastered the production of pipes of the maximum length - 16 m (usually the length is 12 meters). This required the installation of additional transport chains and knots of pipes shifting mechanism at equipment.
Total has announced of the termination of coal production. It says this is not the consequence of financial difficulties but a conscientious refusal caused by the company’s intention to participate in the fight with the climate change.
Until recently the operator of coal development Total Coal South Africa has been in the structure of Total. In the summer 2014 Total signed an agreement on the sale of its coal production to one of the South African companies. The Government of the South African Republic approved this agreement and on August 20th 2015 it came into force.
In this connection P. Pouyanne, CEO of Total, said that the sale of the coal business meets the company’s general strategy. Realizing the consequences of coal use in the electric energy generation that emits by twice more carbon dioxide at burning than natural gas, the company has decided to correct the direction of its development.
ChTPZ supplied about 11 000 tons of single-joint welded large-diameter pipes for OJSC “Yamal LNG”, joint project of OJSC “NOVATEK”, Chinese CNPC and French Total on the development of the Yuzhno-Tambeisk gas condensate deposit on the Yamal Peninsula. The pipes will be used for the construction of the first stage of the gas-collecting system – pipelines from wells to gas collecting station.
The RF Ministry of Industry and RF Ministry of Energy have already checked 280 companies.
General Director of "Surgutneftegaz" Vladimir Bogdanov believes that the RF Ministry of Industry shall conduct technical audit of the factories applying for participation in the program of import substitution in the fuel and energy sector. According to him, currently there are a lot of applications from potential manufacturers, but before working with them, it is necessary to check whether they can produce high-tech equipment: "We have such a request to the RF Ministry of Industry and Trade in order to approach carefully to the selection of companies, even to spend a month on it". Thus "Surgutneftegaz" itself never focused on imported equipment, Bogdanov assured: "We have always engaged in new technologies. Together with our subcontractors - mechanical engineers, chemists, etc. - developed new equipment or materials. Over the past 15 years we achieved much".
Alexander Novak has said that by 2035 the volume of gas supplies from Russia to the countries of the Asia-Pacific region will increase 9 times.
