Order for Nord Stream-2 is shared by Europipe, OMK and ChTPZ

Russian pipe manufacturers have received most of the orders of one of the largest projects of Gazprom Nord Stream-2: 60% of the deliveries for approximately 2.6 billion euro were given to OMK and ChTPZ. Suddenly TMK of Dmitry Pumpyansky was left without ordering. Analysts note that TMK won’t remain without loading of its capacities, but it could be a serious blow to the image of the company.
Russian OMK and ChTPZ received 60% of the order for the supply of large diameter pipes for the second stage of the Nord Stream gas pipeline (2.2 million tons of pipes), the project operator Nord Stream 2 AG reported on Friday. OMK of Anatoly Sedykh got 33% of the order (726 thousand tons), ChTPZ of Andrei Komarov - 594 thousand tons. Other 40% went to the German Europipe, which sources of the Kommersant in the industry considered the strongest rival the Russian companies. The LDP capacity of the four plants of Europipe reach 2.4 million tons per year (of which 1.8 million tons are European), it is comparable with the total capacity of all Russian pipe manufacturers (3 million tons per year).
