Gas reserves at the Ukraine’s underground gas storages rose to 9 bln cubic m

​As of May 22nd 2016 the Ukraine increased gas reserves at its underground gas storages by 6.45% or by 544.9 mln cubic m to 8,981.91 mln cubic m, GSE reports.
The underground gas storages of Ukrtransgas are loaded by 29.02%.
On May 15-22 gas reserves at the underground gas storages grew by 0.63% or 56.65 mln cubic m.
On May 22nd 2015 there were 9,610.98 mln cubic m of gas at the Ukraine’s underground gas storages, by 6.45% or 629.07 mln cubic m more than on May 22nd 2016.
Gas reserves at the underground gas storages of Ukrtransgas at the start of the gas loading season – April 7th – made up 8,43.52 mln cubic m, by 10.88% or 828.5 mln cubic m more than on April 10th 2015 (7,609.17 mln cubic m) when Ukrtransgas started the gas loading season into the underground gas storages in the framework of preparation for winter 2015-2016.
The Ukraine plans to load 8.2 bln cubic m of gas before the winter 2016-2017.

Kiev stopped gas imports from Poland

​The Ukraine has stopped gas import from Poland due to the planned repair of the gas transportation system, the press secretary of Ukrtransgas, M. Belyavsky, said.
Today we start the planned repair at the gas pipeline by which gas is imported from Poland to the Ukraine… The works are held at the Komarno-Drozdovichi gas pipeline and are planned to be held for 2 months, he said.
Within that period it is planned to repair about 4 km of gas pipelines. The repair works will not influence on gas transit for European consumers, only on reverse supplies to the Ukraine.
During the period of repair works gas will be imported by the Slovakia and Hungary corridors.
According to Ukrtransgas, gas volume at the underground gas storages of the Ukraine as of May 4th 2016 made up 8.7 bln cubic m, by 0.14 bln more than in 2015.

The Ukraine increased gas reserves at its underground gas storages by 430 mln cubic m

​As of May 9th 2016 the Ukraine increased gas reserves at its underground gas storages by 5.1% or by 430.5 mln cubic m to 8,868.02.69 mln cubic m against April 7th 2016.
The storages of Ukrtransgas are loaded by 28.65%. On May 3-9th gas reserves at the underground gas storages rose by 1.65% or 144.33 mln cubic m.
On the same dates 2015 there were by 0.19% or 17.04 mln cubic m of gas more at the underground gas storages (May 9th 2015 – 8,850.98 mln cubic m).
Gas reserves at the underground gas storages of Ukrtransgas at the start of the loading season – April 7th – made up 8,437.52 mln cubic m, by 10.88% or 828.35 mln cubic m more than on April 10th 2015.

Gazprom challenges in court the decision of Ukrainian Antimonopoly Committee

Gazprom has challenged in the Economic Court of Kiev decision of the Antimonopoly Committee of the Ukraine on a fine in the amount of almost 86 billion hryvnis.
Earlier the Committee fined Gazprom 85.86 billion hryvnias (about $3.4 billion at the current exchange rates) for the abuse of dominant position on the gas transit market. The term till April 12th was given Gazprom to pay the penalty. At the same time, Gazprom then expressed its surprise, as it didn’t engage in entrepreneurial activity on the territory of the Ukraine, passing gas to Naftogaz Ukrainy on the western border of the Russian Federation.

The Ukraine started gas loading into underground facilities

​On April 7th 2016 the Ukraine started gas loading into its underground gas storage facilities, Ukrtransgas.
If on April 6th, 4.18 mln cubic m of gas were collected from the underground gas storage facilities, on April 7th they were loaded by 2.15 mln cubic m.
It was due to the extremely warm weather in the Ukraine.
In general from the start of gas collection in the 2015-2016 heating season which started on October 30th 2015, and until April 6th 2016, 8 bln 626.59 mln cubic m of gas were collected from the underground gas storage facilities.
The import of gas on April 7th made up 7.923 mln cubic m, it was held from the EU only.

The Ukraine enters April with gas stocks of over 8.5 billion cubic meters

The Ukraine entered April of 2016, having reserves of natural gas in its underground storage facilities in the amount of 8.542 billion cubic meters, reported head of Public and Media Relations Department of Ukrtransgaz Maxim Belyavsky.
According to operative data, this is by 0.8 billion cubic meters more greater than on April 1, 2015.

The Ukraine earned $2 bln on gas pumping in 2015

​The revenue of the Ukraine on gas pumping in 2015 exceeded $2 bln, the President of Ukrtransgas, I. Prokopiv, said.
Speaking about the contract with Naftogas, we make this income only in the part of the tariff approved by the National Electricity Regulatory Commission, the rest stays at Naftogas to cover its deficit.
According to him, the profitable part of the company rose by almost $422 mln in 2015 against 2014.
In 2015 the Ukraine increased gas transit to Europe (including Moldavia) by 7.9% or by 4.9 bln cubic m against 2014 to 67.1 bln cubic m.
In Jan-Feb 2016 the Ukraine increased gas transit to Europe by 1.6 times against Jan-Feb 2015.

The Ukraine has almost doubled gas transit volume to Europe

​In Jan-Feb 2016 the Ukraine increased gas transit to Europe by 1.6 times, Ukrtransgas said.
On the results of 2015 gas transit via the Ukraine to Europe and Moldavia rose by 77.9% to 67.1 bln cubic m.
In Jan-Feb 2016 the Ukraine shipped 12.6 bln cubic m of gas to Europe and Moldavia, by 58.6% or 4.6 bln cubic m more than in Jan-Feb 2015.
In Jan-Feb 2016 the Ukraine shipped 11.9 bln cubic m of Russian gas to Europe, 0.7 bln – to Moldavia. In Jan-Feb 2016 the transit of gas to Europe and Moldavia rose by 66% or 2.5 bln cubic m against 2015 to 6.1 bln cubic m.
Gas pumping rate to Europe is 212 mln cubic m a day.

The Ukraine imported 2.1 bln cubic m of gas from Europe in Jan-Feb 2016

​The Ukraine imported 2.1 bln cubic m of gas from Europe in Jan-Feb 2016 that meets the volumes of 2015.
Ukrtransgas reported that as of March 1st 2016 gas volume at the underground storages made up 10 bln cubic m, which is a record for the past years.
In February 1.2 bln cubic m were imported, 90% of which by the Slovakia corridor. The maximum daily gas import in February made up 44.3 mln cubic m.
V. Demchishin said that the country would do without the Russian gas. The Ministry of Energy plans to have 9 bln cubic m of gas at the end of the heating season, by 2 bln more than planned. In January the Ukraine imported 0.915 bln cubic m of gas from Europe.

The Ukraine reduced gas stocks in its underground storage facilities by 40.9% since the beginning of its taking

As of February the 28th, the Ukraine reduced the natural gas stocks in its underground storages by 40.92%, or by 6 983.39 million cubic meters to 10 080.72 million cubic meters as compared with the stocks as of October the 30th, 2015, when the gas transmission system operator Ukrtransgaz began its taking from facilities (then there were 17 064.11 million cubic meters).
