26 hydrocarbon fields are discovered in Russia

Particularly, 23 oil, 2 oil-and-gas bearing and 1 gas-oil fields have been discovered, Rosnedra reports.
The report includes information as of end of 2013. The final results will be summed up at the end of March after colligation and analysis of statistic reports, submitted by subsoil users.
In accordance with the report, the supposed increase of hydrocarbon reserves on account of money of the federal budget made up 6.2 billion tons of oil equivalent. In 2012, the growth was 6 billion tons of oil equivalent.

In 2014, Novatek’s net profit may increase by 25-30% and exceed $3.25 billion

In the fourth quarter of 2013, Novatek produced 16.42 billion cubic meters of natural gas and 1 249 thousand tons of liquid hydrocarbons (gas condensate and oil). Thus, in the first 12 months of 2013 the total production made up 62.22 billion cubic meters of natural gas and 4 774 thousand tons of liquid hydrocarbons. In comparison with 2012, the production of natural gas grew by 4.90 billion cubic meters or by 8.5%, and the production of liquid hydrocarbons by 487 thousand tons or by 11.4%, the company reports.
In the fourth quarter and in 12 months of 2013, the processing of deethanized condensate at the Purov gas-processing plant made up 1 311 and 4 862 thousand tons respectively. The volume of the processing grew by 20.5% as compared with 2012.

Lukoil is ready to continue to supply oil to Odessa refinery

Lukoil is ready to continue to supply oil to the Odessa refinery, the company’s head V.Alekperov stated on January 28 of 2014.
In July of the last year, Lukoil sold the Odessa refinery to Vetek.

The planned capacity of Rosneft’s LNG plant at Sakhalin can be doubled to 10 million tons

The planned capacity of the first stage of the LNG plant of Rosneft and ExxonMobil at Sakhalin can be doubled to 10 million tons, the Governor of the Sakhalin region A. Khoroshavin says. He says that Rosneft and ExxonMobil have large reserves and are reliable. He’s sure that the volume of the available reserves can broaden the capacity of the project to the additional 5 million tons a year.

Rosneft to have to make room at place in the sun

Rosneft will have to make room at place in the sun. The Ministry of Natural Resources has worked out a draft law, which extends number of companies that have right to extract hydrocarbons on the Russian Arctic sea shelf.
But, the developed draft law met with opposition of the Ministry of Energy. The Ministry disagrees with this proposal. It is known that not only Lukoil, but also Novatek and even Chernomorneftegaz and Severneftegaz, controlled by Vladimir Lisin, were admitted to the shelf. Taking into account the fact that only Lukoil has licenses for work on shelf, the situation looks pretty strange.

Rimera increased transporting equipment dispatch to Transneft

Last year the supplies of the joint details of SOT plant and reinforcement made by the Czech MSA for Transneft increased by several times.
In 2013, the Chelyabinsk SOT dispatched to Transneft 3,664 tons of its product, by 2 times more than in 2012 (1,785 tons). Most of the supplied products were hot and cold bending branches in cover PPU 100-OC, 75-MP and 100-MP for stages 2 and 3 of Zapolyarye – Purpe pipeline system.

Lukoil and Mexican company Pemex to determine joint projects in autumn

Lukoil and Mexican company Pemex, which signed cooperation agreement in January, plan to determine joint projects on land and the shelf of Mexico in the autumn of this year, the head of the Russian private oil company, Vagit Alekperov reported to journalists.
“We consider a number of projects, including on land, which are developed already, and offshore projects – this is geological exploration on shelf of the Gulf of Mexico, especially its deep-water part. Joint teams will start to work now and we will decide on concrete joint projects before the end of the year, in the autumn,” – Alekperov said.

Novatek shifts the brunt of Yamal LNG financing to CNPC

Novatek owning 60% in Yamal LNG, the Russia largest gas liquefying project costing $27 billion will invest to the project by three times less than the shareholding participation presupposes. CNPC will bear most of investment; it got 20% in the project in December 2013. However Novatek continues looking for new partners that can get up to 10% in the project.
