Rosneft negotiates with Vitol and BP about the new long-term contracts on a partially pre-paid basis. Vitol can provide advanced payment at a rate of $2 billion. Vitol and ВР refused to give any commentaries. Continuing the work on transition to the long-term contracts for oil and petrochemicals exports started in 2013, they elaborate 2 transactions now with the companies reputable as the reliable partners. The work on coordination of the main terms began in the end of 2013, and goes on simultaneously, with no preferences to any of the sides.

On March 3, the daily oil and gas condensate output was 1.4375 million tons in Russia, the Central Dispatch Department of the Fuel and Energy Sector reports. Production was 552,500 tons in Rosneft, 237,500 tons in Lukoil, 167,600 tons in Surgutneftegaz, 136,500 tons in Gazprom Neft, 72,500 tons in Tatneft, 45,700 tons in Bashneft, 55,500 tons in Gazprom and 23,500 tons in Russneft.

Kazakhstan to build new oil refinery and to export petrochemicals

The goods made by the fourth large oil refinery will be mostly exported, the Chairman of the Management Board of KMG S. Mynbayev says. The plant was ordered to be constructed by the President of Kazakhstan N. Nazarbayev.
Mr. Mynbayev says that construction of the plant will need 5-6 years, and outside the limits of the period they will have to exports most of its yield. It’s unreasonable to build a plant with capacity of less than 5-6 million tons, in connection with the economy of the object, that’s why they will have to exports most of its yield.

Scared Europe may support “South Stream”

The European countries has begun to increase their import of Russian gas. Hydrocarbon prices went up in Britain, Germany and Holland. Gazprom gives a warning about the risks for the gas transit. The situation works in the Russian monopolyst’s favour. The frightened Europe may support the South Stream project, which it has slowed down before.
“Financial players can take advantage of the situation in the Ukraine and increase prices,” Bloomberg cites the comments of the analysts of Inspired Energy,. V.Zemlyansky, former press-secretary of “Naftogaz Ukrainy” also says that a growth of spot prices is the achievement of resellers.

KazMunaiGas to refuse oil tolling

In 2014, KazMunaiGas is very likely not to be engaged in oil tolling, chairman of the national company’s management Sauat Mynbaev stated at the press conference in Astana on Tuesday.
According to him, last year “some tolling was carried out by inertia”. But taking into account duty-free supplies of oil products from Russia the tolling becomes not so profitable, he said.
“We don’t plan to engage in the tolling in the current year,” - Sauat Mynbaev noted.

The exports of "Gazprom"’s natural gas jumps for no apparent reason.

According to Central Control Administration of the Fuel and Energy Sector, since March 1st the level of Russian gas exports to European Union countries has increased. At the beginning of March, this figure is already 476.5 million cubic meters. This volume of supplied gas close to that of last year, when a sufficiently high level of supply was due to the cold weather. Now, throughout most of Europe warm weather was established. Many experts connect the cause of the gas exports growth with Ukrainian crisis.
On February 28th, "Naftogaz Ukrainy" increased the selection of imported gas to 60 million cubic meters, and on March 1 - to 44.5 million, Interfax reports. The agency also recalled that in the last week of February, the average figure was 20 million cubic meters. According to the information provided by the Ukrainian Minister of Energy, in February 2014 the country consumed gas worth $400 million
