On January 20, the daily oil and gas condensate output was 1.4516 million tons in Russia, the Central Dispatcher Department of Fuel and Energy Sector reports. Production was 561,200 tons in Rosneft, 236,900 tons in Lukoil, 167,800 tons in Surgutneftegaz, 137,500 tons in Gazprom Neft, 72,400 tons in Tatneft, 45,200 tons in Bashneft, 59,400 tons in Gazprom and 23,500 tons in Russneft.

In 2013, Khabarovsk refinery increased oil processing by 11.6%

In 2013, the Khabarovsk refinery (controlled by the Alliance Oil Company) increased crude oil processing by 11.6% as compared with 2012 to 4.392 million tons, Interfax reports.
The output of products grew by 13.1% to 4.284 million tons. Last year, the plant produced 474.6 thousand tons of gasoline that is by 13.4% more than in 2012, 281.6 thousand tons of diesel fuel (+6%), 1.232 million tons of marine fuel (+15.7%), 1.529 million tons of black fuel (+15%) and 12.8 thousand tons of liquefied gas (+24.3%).
The production of jet fuel fell by 1.8% to 272.4 thousand tons, bitumen by 2.1% to 73.6 thousand tons and high-viscosity oil export fuel by 3.9% to 114.4 thousand tons.

Justice Department registers order on new classification of oil and gas reserves

Russian Ministry of Natural Resources’ decree №477 dated 01.11.2013 has approved Classification of reserves and prognostic resources of oil and combustion gas in accordance with Russian law “On subsoil”. It will come into force on January 1 of 2016.

New hydrocarbons deposits are discovered in the north-eastern part of Timano-Pechora oil and gas province

Geological exploration touched a little-studied part of the Timano-Pechora province – the north-east of Komi. They summarized the information gathered ,the scientists of Timano-Pechora research-and-development center concluded that significant deposits of oil and gas may be in this region.
The Timano-Pechora oil and gas province is located in the territory of Komi and the Nenets autonomous district and occupies 350 thousand square km in total.

Over a half of RN-Holding’s minority shareholders take Rosneft’s offer

More than 50% of over 13 thousand minority shareholders of RN Holding have taken the offer, including large investment funds,Interfax reported referring to a source in Rosneft.
According to him, “curiously enough, a group of so-called active minority shareholders of BP-TNK, which filed actions to different courts to protest terms of voluntary proposal, were the first, who agreed for Rosneft’s proposal, while continuing to make a fuss in the mass media”.

In 2013, port of Ust-Luga increased transshipment of bulk cargo 1.5 times

In 2013, port of Ust-Luga increased the transshipment of bulk cargo by 47.5% to 39 671.2 thousand tons, the Interfax reports.
Particularly, the transshipment of grew by 63% to 2.298 million tons. The transshipment of oil products increased by 30% to 16.374 million tons.

Tatneft is going to increase oil refining at TANEKO to 9 million tons annually, the CEO of the company, N. Maganov says. Tatneft works over enlargement of supplies with Transneft. Mr. Maganov says that the task is not easy because Transneft has own plans and technical abilities. They should make some efforts and allocate investment into the attraction of refining.
Now TANEKO annually refines 8 million tons. Initially they planned to refine 7 million tons a year but the regional administration decided to enlarge refining to 14 million tons.

Gazprom: Shale gas not to replace Russian supplies to Poland

In the near future, shale gas and supplies of liquefied natural gas won’t be able to replace supplies of pipeline gas from Russia for Poland, Deputy Chairman of Gazprom’s Management, A.Medvedev thinks.
“Gas extraction from shale is much more expensive than conventional sources. An efficient business model hasn’t yet appeared even in the United States, the only country, where shale gas is produced on an industrial scale. The cost of shale gas extraction in the USA is three times more than the sale price,” – Medvedev reported.
According to him, refusal of a number of foreign companies from continuation of shale gas exploration in Poland says about problems.
