Glencore reduces the interest rate of the 2-billion credit of Russneft

Swiss trader Glencore reconsidered the conditions of the 2.08 billion USD credit of Russneft, having reduced the interest rate and postponed its paying off.

Glencore reduced the credit rate from 9% to 7.75% and moved the repayment term by 4 years – form 2020 to 2024.

The decision was made in November 2012 in the framework of the tripartite agreement with Sberbank and Russneft. Read more »

Rosneft may attract Japanese companies to its offshore projects

Rosneft may attract the Japanese Marubeni, Inpex, Itochu, JAPEX and SODECO to its offshore projects, the Russian oil company’s press centre reported to the agency Prime.

On Wednesday, the Rosneft’s President and CEO, Igor Sechin visited Japan within his working trip over the Asia-Pacific region.

Gazprom is not going to attract partner in Vladivostok LNG project

Gazprom is not going to attract any partners for the construction of an LNG plant in Vladivostok, and analyzes the opportunity for supplies from the plant to China, the official representative of Gazprom, S. Kupriyanov says. He attracts attention to large perspective in the enlargement of gas demand in the APO region, first of all in China, Korea and Japan. Rosneft  plans to discuss  cooperation at the Russian shelf with the Japanese companies, its representative said.

On Tuesday the visit of I. Sechin to China is over and the next country he will visit is Japan.

LNG exports can be liberalized

The idea for the cancelling of Gazprom's monopoly for LNG exports supported by Novatek has found another strong ally, the chief of Rosneft, I. Sechin. He raised the question of the liberalization of LNG exports at the session for the Presidential Commission for Fuel and Energy Sector. However, the President Putin thinks that it’s possible only to liberalize LNG exports gradually.

“Gazprom” is approved with LNG carrier documentation

Russian Marine Registry of Shipping has completed an approval of the engineering documentations of liquefied natural gas tanker, which will become a basis of gas carrier fleet within the framework of the meeting of future requirements of the “Gazprom” Group. Glencore and Vitol borrow $10 billion for the purchase of oil from “Rosneft”

Oil traders Glencore and Vitol are about to attract syndicated credit at $10 billion in order to buy 67 million tons of oil from “Rosneft”.

On December 21, 2012 Rosneft, Glencore and Vitol agreed on main terms of long-term contracts on oil supply. They are about to conclude the prepaid contract for 5 years (67 million tons of oil). They plan to start the deliveries in 2013.

According to an agreement they can replace the oil volumes by appropriate petroleum products at various directions of the supply. Read more »
