Ministry of Energy: investment was 835 billion rubles to oil sector and 174 billion rubles to oil refining in 2012

The Minister of Energy A. Novak says that investment was 835 billion rubles into the oil sector and 174 billion rubles into oil refining in 2012. Total investment to fuel and energy sector of Russia is 2.7 trillion rubles annually. He reminds that in accordance with the forecast until 2020, investment to fuel and energy sector of Russia will be 30 trillion rubles, i.e. approximately $1 trillion.

Cuba expects that Rosneft takes part in oil exploration

Cuba expects that Rosneft takes part in oil exploration at the sea shelf in Cuba, the Chairman of the National Assembly of Cuba E. Hernandez reported.
“Cuba is interested in Russian oil exploration experience. Participation of Rosneft would be useful”, he said.
He added, Cuba was also interested in Russian investments in the sphere of nickel processing and agriculture.

Chinese CNPC to search for and produce oil and gas in the south-west of Tajikistan

Tajikistan’s President Emomali Rahmon has met with the Chairman of the China Petrochemical Corporation (CNPC) Zhu Jinping during his official visit to China.
According to the press centre of the Tajikistan’s Head, during the meeting the parties discussed issues of closer cooperation in the oil and gas sector. It was noted that this company intended to actively participate in search, production and processing of oil and gas in the south-west of Tajikistan. The CNPC’s activity will be carried out with the Canadian company Tethys Petroleum and French Total.

In Q1, oil products export from Belarus decreased by 15.6% almost to 4.074 million tons

In January-March of 2013, the export of oil products from Belarus decreased by 15.6% as compared to the same period of 2012 to 4.074 million tons. At the same time, the average price of Belarusian oil products decreased by 5.9% to $811 per ton,BELTA’s correspondent  reported from the State Statistics Committee.
In the first quarter, the export of oil products to the CIS states grew by 10.3% as compared to the same period of 2012 and made up 1.060 million tons. The average price of oil products was $907 per ton (-7.8%).

Lotos floats out jackets of the platform for development of Filanovsky deposit

Lotos shipbuilding plant Plc. (Astrakhan, Caspian Energy group) floated out two jackets of the ice-resistant stationary platform #1 constructed against the order of Lukoil for the deposit n.a. V. Filanovsky in the north of the Caspian Sea, the press service of Caspian energy reported.

In January-April of 2013, export of Russian oil decreased by 1.8% to 78.899 million tons

In January-April of 2013, the export of Russian oil decreased by 1.8% (1.409 million tons) as compared to the same period of the last year and made up 78.899 million tons, the Russian Ministry of Energy reports.

In 2013-2015, Gazpromneft to upgrade the Moscow refinery costing $1.6 billion

In 2013-2015, Gazpromneft plans to invest over 50 billion rubles ($1.6 billion) into the upgrade of the Moscow refinery, the RBK reports, referring to the company.
Gazpromneft adopted a medium-term investment program and intends to implement a number of projects to upgrade it, the report says. Thus, in 2013, the launch of a light naphtha isomerization unit and catalytic cracking naphtha hydrotreater is planned within the program. The second stage of the distillate hydrotreating unit LCh-24-2000 will be also completed. As it was reported earlier, in June of 2013, the Moscow refinery will completely switch to the production of Euro-5 gasoline.
