Analytic: Glencore’s share in Russian oil exports may reach 15%. It will make up 19% with the supply volume of “Rosneft”

When Gunvor lost the export contracts of “Rosneft”, athe oil trader Glencore took the place as the leader in the oil market. The company will become a key participant of predevelopment financing of the state-run company, which searches for funds onthe  closing the deal on a purchase of TNK-BP. Glencore and Vitol borrow $10 billion for the purchase of oil from “Rosneft”

Oil traders Glencore and Vitol are about to attract syndicated credit at $10 billion in order to buy 67 million tons of oil from “Rosneft”.

On December 21, 2012 Rosneft, Glencore and Vitol agreed on main terms of long-term contracts on oil supply. They are about to conclude the prepaid contract for 5 years (67 million tons of oil). They plan to start the deliveries in 2013.

According to an agreement they can replace the oil volumes by appropriate petroleum products at various directions of the supply. Read more »

Gazprom supplies a shipment of LNG for terminal launch in India

Gazprom Marketing and Trading Singapore (GM&TS, Gazprom’s structure) has supplied a shipment of liquefied natural gas (LNG) for the launch of the regasification terminal Dabkhol in India, the company reports.

The LNG terminal is located 340 km to the south of Mombai. The terminal belongs to Ratnagiri Gas & Power Private Limited (RGPPL), the joint venture of GAIL Limited and National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC). GAIl is the commercial operator of the terminal, the RIA Novosti reports. Read more »

Rosneft will work at Norwegian Arctic continental shelf via RN Nordic AS

The company, brought in the end of May 2012 to the Norwegian registry of enterprises will represent Rosneft in the projects realized in the Norwegian offshore together with Statoil. The chief of RN Nordic AS is Hans van Lamuen who has worked in Russia for several years. The Chairman of Management Board is Bengt Lie Hansen, the former chief of the Russian subsidiary of Statoil, experienced in work at High North, including Shtokman. The member of  Management Board is J. Runie, the new Vice President of Rosneft for shelf projects. Read more »

Rosneft and Lukoil aim for shelf sites in Norway

Rosneft and Lukoil have applied for the right to use the subsoil at the continental shelf of Norwayin the framework of the 22nd license round held by the Government of the country.

The affiliate of Rosneft - RN Nordic Oil AS – and Lukoil are among the candidates for the right to use the subsoil at the Norway continental shelf in the framework of the 22nd round. Read more »

The Krasnodar region to prepare for the ceremony of the first welding within the construction project of the South Stream gas pipeline

The Krasnodar region prepares for the start of the implementation of the construction project of the South Stream gas pipeline. The ceremony of the first welding of the marine part will take place on December 7th near Anapa.

To implement the plans of the creation of a new scale system to supply gas to consumers of the European Union, a joint venture South Stream Transport was created – it includes Gazprom, Italian Eni, French EDF  (Electricite de France) and German Wintershall Holding GmbH. Read more »

BP has started negotiations for participation in Nord Stream construction

BP has started official negotiations with Gazprom for participation in Nord Stream's construction of a branch to Great Britain, the chief of Russian Business of BP D. Peattie. The construction of a 600-mile branch can be completed by 2016. BP can spend into a shareholding in the pipeline operator $300 million. Now Gazprom holds 51% in Nord Stream, and the rest is divided between E.ON, Wintershall, GDF Suez of France and Gasunie, and 2 branches are launched. They do not report on how BP can become co-owner of Nord Stream. Read more »

Construction of offshore division of South Stream can start in 2014

The operator of offshore division of South Stream gas pipeline, South Stream Transport is going to  hold in 2013 tenders for the selection of materials and contractors for construction, and the offshore pipeline construction will start in 2014.

Earlier the chief of Gazprom, A. Miller told that the symbolic start of South Stream construction will be on December 7th. The shareholders of South Stream Transport AG are Gazprom with 50%, Eni with 20%, Wintershall and EdF with 15% (each). Read more »

South Stream construction is fully agreed

Gazprom has totally agreed the construction of the South Stream gas pipeline from Russia to Europe via the bottom of the Black Sea. The final investment decision with the key country for the project – Bulgaria – where the gas pipeline is to reach the surface was made yesterday in exchange for the significant discount for the Russian gas. Final investment decision has been made for offshore part of South Stream

The Board of Directors of South Stream Transport has made the final investment decision for offshore part of South Stream. They also decided to registry the company South Stream Transport B. V. in Amsterdam, Gazprom reports. The members of the Board of Directors, the representatives of Gazprom, Eni, EdF and BASF SE discussed the main issues of realization of South Stream project, and made the final investment decision on the offshore part.
