Rosneft suggests to broaden benefits for oil production projects in the Sea of Japan

The Ministry of Energy discusses the amendments to the federal law about the measures for the stimulation of production on the shelf, ITAR-TASS reports referring to its sources close to the Ministry. One of the points is opportunity of inclusion to the beneficial list of the hydrocarbon projects in the Sea of Japan.  The grounds for them is Rosneft’s initiatives.

Rosneft suggests to broaden benefits for mineral tax and hydrocarbon export duty for minerals extracted in the Sea of Japan until 2032. Rosneft also suggests to specify the parameters for taxation of the deposits located in the Southern part of the Okhotsk Sea, south to 55 degrees north latitude grading them with higher category of difficulty.
