Petropavlovsk Group launches Kimkano-Sultarsky GOK

There took place the ceremonial launch of the first stage of the processing plant at the industrial site of the Kimkano-Sutarsky ore-dressing and processing works (part of Petropavlosvsk Group). This is the start of the long process of commissioning of a large manufacturing unti, which will take several months.

“It is a momentous event for us. It is like new ship launching for shipbuilders, like first run of the new aircraft for aircraft designers. Building operations at other stages are almost done, but technologists have already started fine adjustment of the facility during the full production at the first stage of operation. The launch of the Olekminskya plant in 2010 took 3 months. I hope, the  experience gained will enable our team to make it faster, though the Kimkano-Sutarsky GOK is 3 times larger, the CEO Y.Makarov said. Despite a number of objective reasons, which caused a delay, we were able to start the process before the start of winter. It is very important in the context of the technology. My thanks to our colleagues for their work. Congratulations to all the residents of the Jewish Autonomous region. I am convinced that the Kimkano-Sutarsky mine is going to be the project which will contribute to the socio-economic development of the region and the Far East.”
