In the coming years, Azerbaijan not to be able to receive additional volumes of Kazakh oil for Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline

In the coming years, Azerbaijan won’t be able to receive any additional volumes of Kazakh oil to fill the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline.

Oil production at the Kashagan field will be resumed either in the first or second half of 2016, the Kazakh Minister of Oil and Gas Uzakbai Karabalin reported on July 30th.

"Today we have some ideas of what the scenario of repair works and the resumption of the production will be. There are two options. According to the optimistic scenario, the start of the production from the field will be in the first six months of 2016. According to the second variant, taking into account of the full completion of the gas pipeline construction, the start will take place in the second half of 2016. But the information will be specified later,” - said Karabalin.
