FAS gives the green light to “Rosneft” for the purchase of gas assets of ALROSA

The Federal Anti-Monopoly Service has approved the application of OJSC “TNK-BP Holding” (Rosneft) on the purchase of 100% of “Urengoi gas company” Ltd and CJSC “Geotransgas”. It became known from the statement of the press-service of the department.
CJSC “Geotransgas” was acquired by ALROSA Group in 2006 together with “Urengoi gas company”. The total resources at the licensed sites in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Area, according to DeGolyer&McNaughton, make up 187 billion cubic meters of gas and 26.4 million tons of condensate at present.
