Australian coal company to start coal production in the Chukchi peninsula in August

Feasibility study of the Alkatvaam project of the Australian North Pacific Coal Company will be completed in August of this year. The Governor of Chukotka Roman Kopin stated that this project is important for the region, because it requires significant financial costs and large amount of works. In particular, electric power station and railroad will be constructed during the implementation of the Alkatvaam project according to its feasibility study.
