Turkey starts negotiations on gas supply from Turkmenistan

The negotiations between the presidents of Turkmenistan and Turkey Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov and Abdullah Gül, who made a state visit to Ashkhabad, have resulted in signing of a frame agreement on cooperation in natural gas supply from Turkmenistan to Turkey. Trend reports.

From time to time Ankara expresses interest in moving Caspian energy products to Europe via Turkey. This matter has been on the agenda since the mid 1990's.
